The Rochester Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is the official program of the U.S. Department of Defense for this region. It has recently enacted a cooperative agreement with the County of Monroe for providing free services for local businesses, particularly small business owners, who are interested in selling to the Government. The services help businesses navigate the process of selling to the U.S. Government – the largest consumer in the world. Free services include consulting on government contracts, cutting red tape, identifying market opportunities, referrals, and problem solving to name a few.
